About Me
Education
Megan graduated with an Associates degree from Broward College and then continued on to finish her Bachelor's of Arts degree from Florida International University in Psychology. She has always had an interest in how animals think and feel. Once moving to Portland and discovering Fear Free, Megan dove into it and found that her degree has given her an excellent base from which to study animal behavior.
Work History
Megan began working in veterinary medicine at her local Banfield while in college. She was hired on when she was working at PetSmart and saved a tree frog's life. This began her path into veterinary medicine. Since then, Megan has worked in shelter medicine, private practices, and even a dental clinic. She greatly enjoys her work as a veterinary nurse and brings that same level of compassion and care to all of the dogs who stay with her.
Advanced Certifications
Megan has always loved continuing education as a vet nurse. She has multiple advanced certifications in animal behavior, enrichment, and more. She continues to develop her knowledge and education regularly to improve her dog boarding and daycare environment.
